Q: Some articles just tell you what to do and then leave you hanging. What does KidsClean do?
A: KidsClean presents 3 phases to get you to M&M, MaintenanceManagement. You must know by now that you will have some responsibility with this and there needs to be some preparation for the kids and you. This is especially true for younger participants, 3-5-or so.
If this is going to work for you as well, you could see how preparation would be essential. Sometimes you will have your kids work with you, sometimes you won’t. It depends on your judgment of your children. What is the age? Can they handle the adult responsibility of letting go of certain and/or many toys? Will they be able to help or hinder you in preparing the room? All of these are points you will want to look at as you are taking the KC Workshop.
Q. That reminds me. In all the research that I have done, I always have one question? How many toys can a child play with at one time? Why do we have such a difficult time keeping the inventory down to a minimum?
Did you know that the average child gets 75 new toys a year?
A: Is it that we just can’t see throwing them (money) away? Then give them to the charity of your choice. Is it that we just think Jr will play with them again? Not when he has so much to choose from and he gets new things all the time. Is it that Aunt Betty will visit next month and must see the toys she gave Jr. for Christmas last year? I make suggestions what to do with those toys in my Workshop.

A: I offer a section on consequences and how to implement them. You will see suggestions in the workshop. The consequences for this workshop “fit the crime.” They are not too strict, simple, and easy to carry out. You will need to be diligent but that is what the “Parent Assistant” is for. It helps you out and helps your kids learn this task, on their own.
